Kitchen refurbishment with PMMA

The kitchen drainage system at Warth Catering needed to be refurbished within 12 hours so that the kitchen could be fully operational again by the following day.

Once the epoxy resin surfacing had been removed, the slabs and existing frame were chiselled out. The drains were made good, the inlet repositioned and the cavities sealed with Wecryl 233 Thermo Mortar. The fast-curing and highly flexible Wecryl 230 waterproofing resin was applied to ensure lasting waterproofing integrity. Wecryl 242 was used as a trowel-applied surfacer instead of a surfacing mortar.

This build-up guarantees that the steel trough will not warp or buckle as a result of exposure to hot water.

WestWood would like to thank all those involved in this kitchen refurbishment project for the excellent speed and the high quality of workmanship.
