Brief Description
There were two important reasons for replacing the faulty ramp heating with "heating integrated in thin-bed PMMA resin". 1. The time-intensive and expensive removal of the existing surfacing could be dispensed with. It was possible to apply the approved Weproof system directly onto the concrete. 2. Another factor that spoke for the new version was the minimal operating costs. After all, the direct-acting heating system melts ice and snow more rapidly. Consequently the ramp was given lasting protection against moisture and the influence of chloride, making it safe to walk and drive on even in winter.
